Britain In Bloom Entry
2018 is Alderley Edge's third year of entering the Britain in Bloom Competition.. We have been encouraged by our first two years in the competition, building on our results, learning from our experiences and the suggestions of previous judges.
We are delighted to have been awarded GOLD for our 2018 efforts!
We look forward with enthusiasm and vigour for our planned projects for 2019.
While still retaining our overall objectives of:
increasing the number of volunteers
driving sponsorship and fund raising.
increasing perennial planting
working with local schools and groups
fostering a sense of village pride by enhancing street planting, weeding and litter picking.
The Alderley Edge in Bloom committee have two main projects for 2018: 1. The Waitrose Woodland, 2. The Bloomers Community Allotment.
